Their service is great! Very quick response and since I used the online chat function, two of their agents there were both very informative and helpful! ( I am very sorry that I forgot their names)For my case, I only need the electricity service for a short period of time, since this is for a rental property. I didn't know how long I need it when I requested the service. Amazingly, they offer a plan that is flexible (month to month), no set-up fee, no early cancellation fee, and even no deposit required( based on my good credit). I had always heard good things about TXU, so I used them while I was renting.When I called to cancel my account (after a year of being with them) I was told they would draft one last payment. They never drafted it and never notified me at all. No calls, texts, mail or email. They say that they emailed me, but it is not in my spam or inbox.They also told me they would mail me a receipt 2 months ago and I never received it. I had to call and ask again, but still have not received it (They verify my address every time).They reported the payment that they never drafted to collections and messed up my credit. When I called customer service they were not helpful at all and did not understand what I needed. They transferred me to a lot of different representatives and even the supervisor. They had me call three different numbers and no one could help. I sent them a letter and never heard back.I paid the final bill as soon as I saw it on my credit report (Which was the first time I knew it was not drafted) and they refuse to have it removed from my credit.All of my payments were automatically drafted every month, I never missed a payment. I was completely fine with them drafting the final bill, but they never did.I cannot believe that they refuse to fix this after they did not notify me that the bill was not paid.I will never use TXU energy again. I have warned my family and friends.
I appreciate the help TXU gives me when I need it. I have looked at other companies but I trust TXU and that is important to me. The rates fluctuate with the seasons but in the end, I am able to pay my bill. Thank you TXU. The people are really there for us.
We've been with TXU for almost 8 years. Each year rates have constantly gone up and the excuse is BS each year. I shopped around this year a month before my plan expired and found 5 companies that were beating the outrageous rate TXU was trying to charge me. You would hope that loyal customers would get the best possible rate but unfortunately that's not the case. Upon learning I was switching TXU CS called me 3 times within 2 hours trying to save the account. To top it off, my usage this month was a little less that last month, but somehow my last bill was $60 more than last month. I would give 0 stars for how the final bill played out and -1 stars for customer retention as TXU has come up with constant excuses for yearly bill increases. Oh yea, my bill this month is less than half the cost of my bill last year with more KW usage. Thanks TXU for the unethical business that I've received for being a loyal customer for almost 8 years. And BTW your aggressive retention agents need to go through training again as they are rude and short. I will never buy power from TXU again even if they offer 6 months for free!!!!!

Hi, our bill was very high and I needed to do a payment arrangement today. My experience was fast and easy. The agent, Staurt, was very nice and helpful. It was a pleasant experience and most importantly I did get a payment arrangement we could handle. We've been with TXU many years and probably will be for years to come! We've tried other companies off and on but it's just not the same. We came back the couple times we left to try to see if something else was better, it wasn't! The ways you have to work with customers who get a high bill and can't pay right now is one of the best things about TXU and we've had to use this feature plenty! And we like the energy plans you have, our rates stay reasonably low. We get great rates. Please don't ever change!!
Customer service at TXU is really great - I was able to complete my request with them via chat, so I could keep on working in the background which makes all the difference in the world. The last contract transaction I had when my plan expired was done electronically all the way! For a techie like me that's the nirvana of all things mundane!

I will no longer do business with TXU. Their prices are outrageous! Four of us in one house and our bill monthly was $580+. Switched companies and for the same kwh usage I am now paying $269 a month. And TXU can't beat that cause we all know giant corporations only care for the money that will line their pockets. Also, be sure to add all members of your household as users. Cause if one passes away, like my uncle did leaving my aunt in this situation, they will NOT give you access to the account. Yeah yeah security for a dead man. Even if you have the proper paperwork showing the main account owner has passed you will go through 15 loops. Hopefully your electric isn't off by then so you won't be charged the outrageous reconnect fees and such. If you choose to do business with them just beware. Hopefully your experience is much better than mine has been over the last 8 years. Judging by the other reviews, it would seem others have had better. So it's just not the company for me. I will give them kudos though, their representatives are respectful and courteous. They did try their best to help.
I have had TXU for many years and I never had a problem out of them. My bill has been high but from what I understand a lot of people are trending higher bills from any carrier. Thank the Summers in Texas! Even the many times I needed payment plans they have been always been accommodating.The customer service reps have been friendly, understanding, and easy to talk to. I can only speak on my experience but I think they are good!
TXU is by the far the greatest company you can have. My fiance and I are a young couple with a 6 month old baby. I got pregnant right after I graduated high school and we got a house to rent for our family. Managing money is so hard because that's something school doesn't teach you. TXU understands and they truly care. They work with us everytime we're late on bills or need an extension to pay our bill. I love this company! I recommend 10/10!
I am currently short of money because Congress haven't passed the Extension unemployment benefit and President Trump have signed executive order of $400 for unemployment people not yet having being coming. I then chat with TXU Energy asking for a Deferred Payment to the next several months, they are easily grant it to me the new plan without any hassle. TXU Energy understand the need of Unemployment workers.
I used the Live Chat and typed with Phil and he was able to walk me through the process of creating an account. I tried several times by myself and could not figure out what I was doing wrong, and he was able to get me sorted out immediately. Great experience with Phil!
I've had TXU for over 6 years. They have been great. A lot of people complain about the price, but my bills have been appropriate. I am on a plan that best fits my household. TXU's online chat service is very customer friendly and helpful. While you can find cheaper electricity, you may not be able to find better service. I've been a customer since 1984 when I bought my first house.
They told me they could provide me power. I paid them a deposit with the last of my money. Then they told me that they can't actually provide me power, and will send me my deposit as a check in the mail. They claim they are unable to do it electronically. What??? This is 2020! Electronic payments are simple technology in 2020. So now I'm broke sitting in an apartment with no power in the 100 degree heat. Stay away from TXU!
